Welcome
I’m so glad you’re here
I’m a mother of three beautiful children and a proud mama to five beautiful grandchildren. Family and education have always been at the heart of my life, and I am deeply invested in helping children grow with confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
With over 26 years of experience as a teacher in early education, I have had the privilege of supporting many children as they begin their learning journey. As a mother and grandmother, I understand how important these early years are. Branch into Homeschooling was created to provide parents with simple resources, gentle guidance, and encouragement as they explore learning at home.
My Philosophy
Structure helps children feel safe, calm, and ready to learn. A predictable rhythm to the day gives children confidence because they know what to expect. This doesn’t mean rigid schedules, but rather a gentle routine that balances learning, creativity, rest, and play.
Structured
Children build knowledge step by step. A clear learning progression allows skills to develop naturally, beginning with strong foundations and gradually building toward greater confidence and independence. Each stage prepares children for the next, ensuring learning is meaningful rather than rushed.
Progression
Learning happens everywhere, not just at a desk. Everyday experiences such as cooking, exploring nature, reading together, creating art, or asking questions about the world all contribute to a child’s education. When learning connects to real life, children develop deeper understanding and curiosity.
Life Integrated
Every child learns in their own way and at their own pace. A child-focused approach recognises individual strengths, interests, and needs. When learning reflects a child’s curiosity and abilities, they become more engaged, motivated, and confident in their learning journey.
Child Focused
At the heart of learning is connection. When children feel supported, encouraged, and valued, they are more willing to take risks and try new things. Strong relationships built on love, patience, and trust create an environment where learning can truly flourish.
Connection

Homeschooling offers families the opportunity to slow down and truly meet children where they are. Every child learns differently and at their own pace, and homeschooling allows learning to be shaped around a child’s interests, strengths, and natural curiosity.
It creates space for meaningful conversations, creativity, time in nature, and deeper connections with the world around them. For many families, homeschooling becomes less about rushing through lessons and more about nurturing a lifelong love of learning.
Every family’s journey is unique, and homeschooling is simply one path that allows parents to guide and support their child’s learning in a way that feels right for them.
I am here to offer support if you choose to branch into homeschooling. For parents considering homeschooling, it can sometimes feel overwhelming at first. But learning does not have to be complicated. I hope to take the pressure off you so you can enjoy this special time with you little ones.

My learning approach follows a gentle progression from Foundations through to Year 2, allowing children to build skills step by step. The early years are a time for strong foundations, where children develop confidence in reading, writing, number, science, and art while exploring the world around them.
Rather than rushing through learning, this approach focuses on gradually developing skills at a pace that suits each child. Activities begin with simple foundations and grow in complexity as children become more capable and confident. This allows children to revisit concepts, strengthen understanding, and build independence over time.
The resources are designed to offer a range of learning experiences so parents can meet their child where they are. They can be used again and again as children grow, supporting both new learners and those ready for the next stage.
The goal is to create meaningful learning experiences that support development, encourage curiosity, and help children build the confidence they need for the years ahead.
